Any STAR WAR fans???
Got to meet Peter Mayhew today. He played Chewbacca in the first 3 Star wars movies I had to fix a part on his lazyboy. Asked if I could get a pix with him he told me to sit in the wookiee chair!!!! Not everyday you get to meet a living legend

That ROCKS! I've heard he has a great sense of humor. One of my favorite fantasy/sci-fi authors (R.A. Salvatore) wrote a Star Wars novel several years ago called "Vector Prime". In that book, he caused something of a controversy, in that he killed off Chewbacca. There's a picture online of Peter Mayhew "choking" Salvatore at a Comic-con not long after that.

I'm a Star Wars geek from way back when "A New Hope" first came out. Thats cool that you got to meet Chewie. He even kind of looks like a wookie.
Thats not the only character he killed off. I quit reading SW based novels after that.

Looks to me like Peter Mayhew may have explored the boundries outside of a sober life in his time!! Would have been cooler if he would have burned one with you between shifts, who else would have THOSE bragging rights?!
Very cool though, Congrats!

I met him at TSU graduation this last May as Fire, EMS and PD had to do stagging and stand by. He's friggin tall. The deputies didn't believe me that it was him. He had a Chewie ring.

Pretty cool.
I met Peter back back in the '80s shortly after Empire was released. I was a Gofer (go-for this, go-for that) working at one of the space cons in San Francisco. Sounds like he hasn't changed much. He was very friendly and personable back then, too.
