Default Bad news

For the last few months or so, I would get like a premature jerk in the 1-2 shift. Well, I took it to my transmission guy. He rebuilt my '95 Z28 about five years. I bought a Pro-Built Racing kit for it, a torque converter, and he did the labor. The car ran great for the next three years.

Anyway, he had his guy drop the pan. He looked at the shift accumulator and that's fine, but he said he found a bunch of metal shavings there. So, it needs a rebuild. Son of a...

He said he could do service work right which would only be a bandaid on the problem. I said go ahead, as I'm going to save up and get it rebuilt hopefully in the near future.

Does Pro-Built.net still have good transmission rebuild kits? Recommend anyone else?

Should I get the one with the vacuum modulator or without? They're the bottom two.

or the "modified" Raybestos Z-Pak, 16 one sided clutch/steel setup for the 3-4 pack.

Shack, do yourself a huge favor and put an M6 in there. I had nothing but problems with my A4 in my old 98 SS even more after a so-called stage three build and stall by a local shop I'll keep to myself.

Get the first set of 3-4 clutches, the Z-pack is junk IMO. Or see if they have any raybestos blue plates. What are the mods to the car? That would help with what you actually need.

So, you recommend the
Borg Warner Hi-Energy, 8 clutch setup for the 3-4 pack
?

Mods are listed in my sig. I may or may not get headers and a tune next.

What about the following?
Pre-drilled TransGo Separator Plate
GM Reverse/Input Drum
Manifold Pressure Switch

IDK, man. I've always been an auto guy. This same guy rebuilt the transmission in my old '95 Z28. It ran great for three years until I sold it.

Yes, 8 hi-energys will be good. You have no need for a vacuum modulator though. Yes, get a new reverse input drum, new pressure switch, and the solenoids. I would get the transgo seperator plate also, its alot thicker then factory and lasts alot longer.
