Question about turbo or blower
If I bought a ls1 ss or ws6 that was practically stock what would it take to be as fast or beat a new z06. My old car made 400 rwhp cam only but would still loose to my cousins longtube 2002 z06. I would like to have this car very streetable but be able to beat a NEW z06. I would most likely need a blower or turbo. Hopefully Josh can hit me up and let me know. The car would only be a street car only going to the track for times. Would just a bolton/cam/small tunrbo car do it? I probably will not have the money to beef up the motor so this would all need to be done with the stock motor

get a whipplecharger - all you need for the entire install is what comes in the kit. i bet you'll spank any older z06 out there and if you turn up the boost, you can beat any vette on the road with the exception of the zr1. well, any stock vette. thanks to the valve system they use, you don't get boost all the time, so you don't need the accompanying mods.

Either way you look at it, you will want to build a sb and then a power adder by choice.
New Z's make in a range of 440-450ish to the wheels stock depending on years.
A full bolt on ls1 car and a small shot should give them a run for their money though..

My car on the stock LS2 with a 70mm on pumpgas was outrunning C6 Z06's. I actually have a vid around the net somewhere of me racing a C6 Z06 with an intake, exhaust and 100 shot and we were all over each other.
