Wheel locks without the key?!?

Default Wheel locks without the key?!?

My buddy just got a 1997 lt1 ta. It has the 17" black ws6 wheels with wheel locks on them. He dosent have the key or w/e you call it to unlock them. What does he do?!?

I got hooked up at discount tire and they charged me $20 take them off, regular was ~$40-50.

I'm pretty sure you can get one of those gator-grip sockets from wal-mart, the ones that are universal with the little "fingers" in them. That should take it off.

Get a socket a little smaller than the lug nut and hammer it on.

You can go up to the dealership and they have a whole set of locking keys. They will go through each one and figure which one matches then you can buy the key. The key isn't that expensive either. Or at discount tire they can just hammer a flat head on the edges and and remove it.

Do that and get a impact to back it off. Same thing happened to me couldn't get it to spin with me wrenching on it. I had to get a impact to get it off. I hope this helps

yeah if you dont have a impact, dont even bother trying it, just take it to discount and they will do it for you... i know we charge like $5 for each lock. some are harder than others, but we have a bad *** socket that can take off some locks with out even hammering it on, just put it on the gun and put the gun in revers and wa la, it's off... good luck!
