if its not your DD, then bribe a friend with pizza and beer. i did my k-member install myself, but it would have taken less than half as long if i had an assistant. i just followed the instructions i got from BMR. and if you are swapping out the k-member, it would be a good time to install some poly motor mounts

the mounting positions are the same regardless of brand, so who you get the instructions from doesnt matter. BMR has them downloadable to a PDF on their site, i dont think UMI has them on the site... they might be able to email them to you if you email their support dept.

the only thing i deviated from on BMR's instructions was that i didnt disconnect the steering rack hoses... i just loosened them up just enough so they could swivel, but not lose fluid, then i bungee corded the rack to the motor. if you dont mind playing with the fluid and cleaning it up afterwards, it would be easier to totally disconnect and remove it.

how did your alignment come out? after my k-member install, the shop got it close, but coudln't get it perfect. i'm thinking since you did A-arms as well, they'd have more flexibility in the alignment.

installing the a-arms shouldn't be an issue. Kmember on the other hand, a tad bit more work. I plan on doing a tubular kmember when I pull my engine next year.

Do they work well with the stock rack? I had a umi kmember in my fox body, but it would only work with a manual rack.

yeah kmember works with the stock steering rack...

but they do have a kmember that uses a different rack, a pinto rack i think
