Ford is not playing any games with the new 5.0. That 624 hp 5.0 could hang with ZR1. However, even with the 525 hp option, you only get a 12 month warranty. I don't think the average consumer will buy this package. Only the hardcore Mustang enthusiast will spend the cash. I would love to drive one.

Point me to GM part number that offers this for the Camaro along with a warranty
You really have no clue as to how much a FI setup costs because thats quite an ignorant, illogical comment.

You can order a SLP 585/560 hp Camaro for about the price of the GT500. Come with the GM 5yr/100k powertrain warranty

$34k starting price on 2SS
$25k price for that kit
= ~$60k
My 2010 GT500 has every single option available and it was $47.5k before TT&L
Granted, 2011s might be just a little more expensive and there's always the 1SS option for Camaros, I wouldn't say they're the same price.

Really? Whats wrong with having one if it offered from the manufacturer, say that they are for Nancy Boys and turn it down? Weak argument dude.

It literally says $8,099 for the higher HP package ( I rounded up) but anyway I knew that the camaro S/C was that much, im just sayin that its dumb when you could buy a GT500 like 99camvanillatop said.

$16k - $9k = $7k
Some people would prefer to have $7k to spend elsewhere (i.e. - vacation, home repairs/upgrades, daily driver, motorcycle, jetski, lower monthly expenses, 350 table dances, etc.)
Honestly, I'd probably opt for a slightly used GT500 too, but some people prefer a new car. I know the remaining warranty on a GT500 would be gone almost instantly anway after I purchased it, so the warranty is a non-issue for me.
