New guy needing help
My name is Wes and I need help finding a shop. I have a 2001 chevy silverado 5.3 and i need to find someone that will do all the drivetrain at a performance shop near either Dallas, Houston, or close to Longview. Also kind of reasonable. Thanks Wes

Bottom to the top of the engine...all redone maybe with a supercharger. Transmission, exhaust, with any computer work that needs to be done. I might even want to stroke the 5.3 just trying to get ideas and who to go to.

I can do the rear axle build & R&R the tranny to get built, but I don't mess with the motor at all. I know some really good shops to do a built Automatic. The place in Ft Worth charges about $1800 for a complete performance build. I charge $1550 total to a complete build on the rearend. Includes Eaton True Trac posi, any ratio of GM gears, all new bearings/seals, TA Performance girdle, and hardened Moser axle shafts. Also, my labor to R&R the tranny is $300 + fluid.

By the way, you will need a tranny cooler. I can do a B&M Supercooler with a custom bracket (nice clean fit) made at a CNC machine shop, and installed. All for about $200. I'd be glad to help you out, just let me know.

Actually, I am hiring a new guy at my shop who is DAMN good with engine work so I can help you out there as well. I'd be glad to put together a complete package deal, so you can get it all done at my shop.
