Speeding Ticket with NJ Driver's License
I got a speeding ticket in Taylor, TX (Williamson County) a few weeks ago coming back from Nocturnal Festival at 4am. It's only for 75 in a 65, and is about a $150 dollar ticket. I have a NJ Driver's license, and I'm just worried about points transferring. If points won't go on my license, I'd rather just pay the ticket than drive an hour to go to court. From the paperwork I was given, it looks like I can't take defensive driving because I don't have a Texas driver's license.
Does anyone know if the points will transfer back to NJ? Is it worth going to court for anything else I might be overlooking?
I can't really miss class this week to show up in court for this.

This was after the second day, we left the main area after ATB finished at 2:30am, I got pulled over at 3:40am.
I was totally beat at that point, wanted to stay for Rusko, but didn't want to get home at 6:30am.

It's a 2 point ticket, which would transfer to NJ. I called my insurance company and they said my rates wouldn't go up.
I need to decide today, whether to try and move my court date(which is scheduled for this Thursday, 9/23) and try and get it reduced to no points, or just pay it and take the points. Is it really worth fighting?

The only way it would affect your driving record in Jersey is if you had a commercial Dl, if you wouldn't have told you insurance there was a good chance they would never have known.

Domsz06 - I think I saw something online about an alliance that TX and NJ are a part of. I also called the NJ DMV and they said out of state moving violations are 2 points, including Texas.
That may have been dumb of me to call my insurance, I posed it as a hypothetical question, but they probably know it was real...Oh well. I think I'm just going to pay it.
So much for my plan of keeping my out of state license while at school in Texas to avoid any points :p

What ever the "alliance" is TX is not it with Cali, I got one with my cali one and it didn't effect, and then when I switched to tx, still no points
