Just installed the Thunder Racing TREX cam in my Z06. I still have the stock clutch and 3.42 gears in and it still moves the F**K out. I just got a narrow band tune to get by for the time being till my 4.10's and New Clutch get put in 2 weeks. This start up was amazing. It needed zero help to idle and when we took it around the block it hardly bucked and surged at all.

But I really think with your M12 ZO6 transmission 3.73 will work better
I drove C5 ZO6 with 4.10 MS4 car pulled very hard but all you do is shift shift shift also leave some room for the nitrous if you ever plan to use it.....

Sounds good but loud. too loud for my taste but If I were you I wouldn't put 4.10's in it either. You will run out of gear up top to quickly. The stock gears might actually be faster from keeping you in the power band longer and not having to shift as much. Just a thought.

This is exactly what I am thinking. I know this cam requires gears to keep it in its powerband but like you said the M12 Transmission play a big role as well. All my buddys run big cams so I naturally thought 4.10s but I am gonna do some research and see about 3.73 or 3.90.

Haha yeah Dan its loud but its what I like. But I hear on the shifting. It just it a turd till I get it in its powerband that why I am gonna get some gears in it just not sure what. But I really wanna still keep it for highway runs tho and i'm scared 4.10 might keep that from happening.

I have this cam and the "G" spot on it its at 4k rpm and up, it goes all the way to 6k then flattens. Some lil of the juice will make a big difference tho

I'd stick with 3.73s as well maybe a 3.90... 4.10s with the M12 is gonna be retarded. My friend runs that setup and he wished he had less gear, he's just too busy to mess with changing it.

Im gonna have to agree with the others on the 4.10s. I think a 3.90 with the MN12 would be like 4.10s on a t56. Oh and you think traction is an issue now, wait till you put gears on it...my old T/A with 4.10s TQv2 cam and street tires had no traction up to 3rd gear. It was tons of fun tho. Time for some D/Rs.
