Default 2 mustangs get swept

2 mustangs that were racing in McKinney both collided into a street sweeper causing the sweeper to flip numerous times as reported on the news tonight.

They say the street sweeper had both of them by a car length.lol

In all seriousness, I hope everyone is okay.

I wouldn't be so sure... two mustangs colliding with a street sweeper causes a lot of damage. Chances are atleast one of the people in the mustangs won't make it...

Great. Just what we need is another street racing death all over the news. Anyone notice ALCOHOL was involved? And why in the hell was a GT racing a V6? I feel for the workers and their families but not so much for the stang drivers. Serves them right!

I hope the other two workers are ok.. As for the kids driving the Mustangs this is something they will have to deal with for the rest of their lives. And believe me this is something you will think about everyday. "If only I didn't do that"

Have we learned a lesson yet people? When is everybody going to realize it isn't worth the risk anymore. The friend at the scene was checking it out to see what actually happened. Face it your buddies were clowning around drinking beer and operating a vehicle.

The real shame is the workers minding their own, paying a consequence for the actions of the other IDIOTS, I feel for the families of All, and Hope the ones hanging on survive, and the drivers face the LAW if they do..
This is exactly why street racing is illegal...

im just trying to figure out the tire tracks on the road. The only way for the both of them to hit the sweeper at the same time is if they ran a red light, or the sweeper did

I dont really see street racing as much as speeding. the blue one looks like it hit the sweeper first

^ my guess is that the sweeper came off the side street and pulled in front of the 2 cars. sweepers never obey stop signs and stuff, they are always blasting around corners. probably pulled out in front of the cars and couldnt judge distance/speed of them.

Lets not get the blame off the two mustangs.. For all we know the sweeper could have come to a complete stop and waited for his time to go and then all the sudden two high speed cars come flying by and hit them.

My point is we don't know what happen just know the people racing shouldn't have been and had alcohol with them. Notice i didn't say they were drunk because that hasn't been said.

Prayers go out to the family of lost ones.

Being as much of a dog those old 4.6 was that V6 probably gave it a run......kidding.

In all seriousness sucks that it happened and the loss of a innocent life a guy just doing his job killed by idiots racing. Read some of the comments on the news link you can see some people posting that they know the driver of the GT Mustang. The friends in the video said "they are not the type to street race" and are not into that all they do is drive the car from point a to point b. Basically a good lie really the way those cars look they had to have been going at a rather high rate of speed more so to flip over a sweeper truck which was turning left into a Wal Mart parking lot according to the video.

Ive noticed that too, the streetsweeper that does around the place I work at always runs red lights and stop signs cause its early in the morning and there is very little traffic.
