Gridded 12th of 18 and finished 4th. I'm usually mid-pack ... finishing 8-10th.
The thing about it is that regardless of what position you are in on track, you are always racing some one.
The podium finishers get internet bragging rights, but their cup of coffee costs the same as mine.

We race all over Texas ... the track above was at Cresson, SW of Ft. Worth. We race next at Texas World Speedway in Bryan and then we go to Tulsa and race at Hallett.
In October we go to Eagle's Canyon in Decatur.
No MOPARs in this series. Although I hear rumblings of allowing the Challengers into American Iron. AI were the cars with the huge downforce splitters and wings.
As an FYI ... A car can be built and be competitive for $6-8K. Tires run about a grand a set of 4 and I go through 6 in a full season. A set of front brakes lasts about 1/2 a season and it costs $300 to enter a weekend's events. That's 4 races and 2 qual sessions. At $50/session for that kind of action is HUGE bang for the buck.
We occasionally have car to car contact and we RARELY have cars sustain major damage.
