Default oil return line??? wtf????

i was looking at a ls1 z28 that has a lq4 swapped into it. the car needs a few things. they guy says it needs an "oil return line". i asked him what it was and he says the line that returns the oil from the motor back to the oil pan after the car is turned off. i thought this **** was only for turbo cars. can someone please clarify? its a forged bottom end stock cubes naturally aspirated. thanks.

Unless he relocated the oil filter or it's turbo'd, there is no "oil return line". Maybe he's talking about the pick up tube

Some GM trucks run oil coolers from the factory and run lines through the radiator just like the trans cooler lines. I don't recall a LS based truck motor having one but I have seen many of the older engines come with them. Could be something along those lines.

But return oil to the oil pan after the engine is shut off? Guy doesn't have a clue what he is talking about is what that is.

Okay found it. Guy is a tool and has no idea what he is talking about. Looks like he bought someone's race car that he had no business having. "low oil light is on because needs oil return line replaced". Either the low oil level sensor is bad, not plugged in, or it's low on oil.

I would be real careful and go over the car real thourough if you are thinking of buying it. It's a bit on the cheap side for that mod list.
