Great bonding time! be sure you teach him to be safe and always secure the car with jack stands when working under it.

My old man is 65 and we still do pretty much all car work together. Good bonding time but tempers do flare occasionally, lol. Glad to see your boy likes being out there with you.

I basically grew up in the garage, handing my Dad wrenches until I was old enough to actually work on the cars. It does require some strength and coordination, something a 11 year old is not likely to have much of yet. I can't wait until my 11 year old son gets interested in working on cars. All he wants to do now is what every other 11 year old wants to do: play video games.

Thanks for the kind words.... Yeah, my son is always eager to help whether it's changing oil, or whatever... He's down.
Also take him to the RR 1/2 mi events.... Wish I would have done that with my older son.. He's married and off in the Navy now.. I'm retired Army,, spent a lot of time away when they were young.. (deployments). I can never get that time back! Making the most of it now. Thank you again for the kind words.

I just put these on my 02 WS6 and did a set for a friend on a '10 Lexus IS250. Seems to be pretty good rotors. I drove my TA for a good distance yesterday but got back when it was dark. Going to check when I get home and see if I got any brake dust on the car. I always did with the stock rotors. I know it's about the pads, but still going to check.

Neither one of my boys got into cars like I wish they would have. I built my oldest a 81 Z28 for his first car. He helped a little bit, but not as much as I would have liked. I do make both boys help now when things need to be done with their cars. I tell them, it's cheaper to learn than to pay someone else, and I am not always going to be around to do it for them.

I had to adjust the seat on his Polaris rzr hot wheel today and he took the screwdriver from me trying to remove screws. it was cute.
he was pissed when I took it back lol

That's where the stuff called "parenting" and "teaching your kids" etc. comes to play. It's just too bad there are many people who have no such skills whatsoever...

Nice looking SS, BTW. My girls were never interested in working on cars, but at least they know some basic stuff like cheking fluids, changing a tire etc.

My daughter is not opposed to washing, waxing.... She loves the Vette'.. She is 13... Into school, volleyball, Basketball... NO BOYS! I split my time evenly w both... She has helped change oil.... I have also made her remove, re install the wheel on my Avalanche... don't want her to have to depend on some dude if she has a flat down the road...
