Tuning in Austin Texas
#22
Then go with Pat. Pat's not Austin but he's a 2 hour drive, easy. Never had Corey at Henderson tune my cars, but I've had less than stellar experiences there.
Kurt and Pat are good guys. Dave Steck and Pat have both tuned my current C5. Just thought you wanted an ATX tuner. If you're so impatient to wait a few weeks(end of July he will be moved and tuning), have Pat tune it if you don't mind driving it.

Pat does do remote tuning via the EFIlive Autocal....so you don't necessarily have to drive the 2 hours to meet him. The autocal will datalog and you just send those back to Pat for tuning|adjustments...
Autocal and remote tuning = 600
Drive down and tune in person = 400 (also consider fuel for the drive to victoria and back, as well as dyno time)

I'm not getting completely out of the game... It's just not going to be a primary thing for me. I'm sure I will still be doing it through Dedicated Motorsports. I don't recall ever telling anyone that I will not be tuning. I believe all I said to you was that I won't have my own shop when down there and we would see how it all shakes out.

+1 for Pat G.
Brian Reckart is a great guy and outstanding tuner, but yes, he's pretty much out of the game. He sold the shop and went into the HVAC business.
James Karger may be coming down to Austin periodically to tune cars at Calvo Motorsports here in Austin. I'd call Calvo and ask when he'll be in town. www.ls1tuner.com
Brian was my tuner. I have been modifying my own tunes lately due to the lack of trusted tuners here. Brian put great tunes in my cars and I just tweak them a little for recent changes. Calvo has a dyno that I've used to do this and of course there's data logging on the toll road.
