Yeah insane mode runs 3.2 0 to 60 and cuts 1.6 60fts.

Luda runs 2.8 0 to 60.

Even if you did not make it as fast or faster, you do not have to charge batteries and you would have the one thing that would drive me bat **** crazy with a tesla, V8 rumble. I drove my SS for a week when I got it bone stock and I was clinching my teeth till I did something with the exhaust. That's not the case for everyone but damn, it is for me. Totally curious how to do inspection on one. I assume they may not even have to hook up to OBD? Lol, tricky fish.

What is the typical mileage you get on a single charge?

Yup, instead you have to go out of your way to find a decent price at a gas station, make sure you fill up in time, stand at the gas station, hope there isn't a reader in the card swipe that will store and steal your CC info, etc. That's definitely better than coming home and plugging your car into the outlet.

You can get around 260 miles on a full charge with the 90kw battery. I can drive around most of the day and usually have 80 to 100 miles left to go at the end of the day.

Like Nick mentioned its nice not stopping at gas stations. I've had my card info stolen twice using the gas pumps with the jeep.

You fill up in the hood? Always use credit cards and not debit at the pump. After filling press cancel. I think it was quick trip that wouldn't finalize a debit purchase

If I see a tesla on the free way or toll roads I always think man you are bold my friend.

Yep mainly because it's always grid locked on the tollway here. 200 mile range for 1 day travel is plenty enough but I would imagine it gets un nerving under 50 miles or in never ending traffic

A tesla?
70k for base model to $150k (all taxes included) for the fully loaded decked out p90D with luda.

Big diff in performance. 70 model is a high 13 sec car vs P90D is a high 10 sec car.

The Chademo adapter is $400.

I'll break it down like this:

I don't care about the price since 93 octane is never a competitive price.

Filling up in time? That's never been a issue for me.

I don't worry about my info being stolen since it has happened once and it was all covered by my bank.

And standing in line to pay cash? I'm a social being so I don't mind BSing with new people if I wanted to use paper.

You don't care, but they're all negatives. And you're ruining the handling of the car. And making it more uncomfortable. And slower.

The price of the Tesla makes it a high-end vehicle that doesn't have the same yuppie feel or yuppie-*** consumers that the Prius does, so this isn't throwing anything in anyone's face like the LS-Prius is. As it stands, this is a downgrade and should have been done on something else. Like an E55 AMG or another comfortable luxury car.
