Default 5 months and 3 slaves?

I've had my car since november. 2000 WS6 Formula. Since I've got it, Ive been through 3 slave cylinders, the latest one going out earlier tonight.

I put a new clutch in with a new pressure plate, throw out bearing and pilot bearing.

Replaced the master cylinder and the hydrolic line that runs from the master to the slave. Also replaced the transmission mount.

What else could be causing the slave to go out? Of course it happens when I'm running W.O.T. but even then I dont think I should be having these kinds of problems.

I'm at a total loss. I can't keep my car on the road for more than a few days at a time before it goes out. I've decided to part the car out and sell it, but I'm still curious as to what would be causing this.

First one was a replacement from the dealership, second one was another GM replacement part, and the third one was from MTI.

What exactly is happening when they go out? How are they failing?

It only happens when Im working the gears. I dont power shift but when Im quick with the 1-2 shift the clutch stays to the floor. Thats what its been every time. I dont know if maybe the output shaft on the tranny is bent or what.

Why would heat be causing the slave to break the way it is? Its not starving for fluid, it looks like somebody slid a prybar in the slave and pried up. Same on every break.

Im not saying you're wrong, im just wanting you to expand on the problem. Ive already replaced the hydrolic line and heat wrapped it.

You have headers (more radiant heat than the stock manifolds) and with the line running right by it, that fluid is getting pretty damn hot, and most likley boiling (ask me how I know) and eventually destroys your hydraulics. I found this out the hard way.

My hydraulics are all kinds of screwed up right now due to me boiling the fluid and im just replacing everything and making sure everything has something on it to protect it against heat.

You need to insulate the line that runs from your master cylinder to your slave...I used 3/8" power steering line. Like Domaimian said the headers cause the fluid in the line to lose viscosity thus making your pedal stick to the floor. I did this to mine and it fixed my problem. The line is pretty cheap, just get it at your parts dealer...

I've been through that once. I've already ziptied the hydrolic line to the firewall to get it a few inches away from the headers and I've also heat wrapped it.

But why would the heat be snapping the slave like it is? I'll take a pic of the break and post it on here so you guys can actually see what im talking about. I see how it would boil the fluid but I dont see how it would make the slave snap.
