Engine knocking/tapping loud
Started the car today and a heard slight knock that I had not heard before. When the car warmed up and had a load on it the knocking got pretty loud. I drove the car yesterday with no problems. Pulled the valve covers and checked springs and pushrods all were good. Oil pressure was good. Not sure how to check if it is a collapsed lifter or not. The knocking sounds like it is coming from the top of the engine. Any ideas? Here is a video:

Start by draining the oil. Capture it in a container that you can look in to (for example, use 2-3 empty milk jugs and cut the tops off of them so they look like scoops). If the oil has shiny bits in it, it's a bearing.
If you don't find anything there, it still may be a rod bearing. Time to dig deeper.
It does sound like the Fiero motor I had with a spun rod bearing tho. And it showed good oil pressure too (but it went lower at warm idle).

Ok cool, mine is making a loud tapping, clanking sound from the driver's side cylinder one. It started right after a WOT pull to 7200rpm. It drove home and the oil pressure is perfect, no metal in the dipstick. Pulled valve covers on that side and the valve train looks and feels normal, I pulled the plugs and they are perfect, I pulled the plug wire to each cylinder and the noise didn't change. I'm thinking it's a lifter .
