Good Portable Navigation System ?
What is a good portable navigation system? Want one that I can switch between car and truck or whatever when travel or go on long cruises, not permanently mounted, and is fairly easy to use.
I have heard of Tom Tom from the commercials. Anything else out there any good?
Thanks for the help & info.

Garmin makes some great pda's that are reasonable and tough. I've had my ique3600 for about 3 years, and never a problem still using the same map that came with it. The one I have is no longer made but they have new ones. I like it so well that if it were to break today I would go out and buy another new Garmin. Check out their website I believe it is gramin.com. Hope this helps.

Garmin makes the best and most updated portables. Tom Tom is cheaper, but their software isn't as updated on a regular basis.
I bought this one for about $400 a couple months ago, it works great.

It is small and has a touch-screen. Very user friendly.

I have the Magellan 900. I like it because it's good, detailed, has USB download updates and runs well while on battery not plugged in...so I can take it on the Harley too. Touchscreen and buttons.
