Question Trying with HPTunners, need help!

A friend of mine has been trying to scan his 2001 Z28 using his own PC and HPTunners for it and the following errors came out:

DTC U1000 Class 2 Communication Malfunction
DTC U1016 Loss of Class 2 Communication with VCM
DTC U1040 Loss of Class 2 Communications with ABS
DTC U1096 Loss of Communications with IPC

How can he find out what is wrong for each one of them and how can he correct'em? does anybody know?

Thanks for your help.

Those are BCM errors. Hptuners shows them. Most scanners don't. I am getting some of the same errors. They seem to show up after I messed with the TPS sensor. I don't think it is much to worry about if the car runs fine. Most cars will throw some bcm codes from I have seen.

HPT cannot reset BCM, Chassis, or network codes. These do not show up on inspection so no worries there. Alot of those network type codes spawn from a loss of or drop in signal b/w certain devices (even for a moment), usually the system recovers connection and all is well. If it did not, you would have other problems, it could be from a short somewhere, or just signals crossing. If the car seems ok, and the codes start coming up as history, then you're fine.

Those are really ancillary codes that don't mean much IMO. Any car I've tuned pops those up. You can try the Tuning section on LS1tech...many of the HPT gurus post daily if you have other questions or concerns. Those codes however, I wouldn't worry about them.
