Where it all started for me...
About 3 years ago I bought a 2000' v6 firebird. I did a few mods but nothing major because of the the motor. I immediately became hooked on the fbody scheme and sold it 6 months later to buy my current camaro. I sold it in prestine condition with no problems:
It just so happens that today I found it trashed and what seemed to be abandoned at a local baseball park (if you look really closely, its actually in the same ballpark that the above picture was taken in)
Sorry, all I had was my camera phone:
Truck tires with rear one flat:
Rear end scratched to hell and missing one exhaust tip:
F'ed up front end
Dash cracked and spiderwebed to hell/missing side mirror:
Not one straight panel:
The pictures make it look way better than it actually was. It was horrible in person.
Even though it was only a v6, it's kinda sad that people do this to their cars, especially to one that was previously such well taken care of.
I looked under the car and it was sitting in a huge puddle of coolant and oil. Looked like someone cracked the block and just left it there. Who knows how long it has actually been sitting there.

Sucks man, similar situation happened to me and I still miss it a little bit
2002 SS bought November 2001....I sold it January 2004 and about 1 year later I got a notice from some Chicago police department saying it was in their impound lot and blah blah blah
I bought this in November 2003 and it was the start of my s/n

Thats exactly why when I sold my '95 Z, I made sure it was to someone out of town. The guy who bought it from me is from Austin which is atleast a good 3 hour trip from where I'm at. Only time I might see my old camaro is when I go down to the tracks if he is there.

I am to the far side of disturbed when it comes to caring for my cars, but I sadly realize that there are millions of Americans who view their car as utterly disposable. All they do is put gas it in and maybe change the oil, but only when the idiot light is on.

I've had many cars over the years and it always disturbs me to see one of my previous cars treated like crap.
Saw my old Mitsubishi Galant awhile back, it was super clean and actually a really nice car. The guy smoked and ate in it and **** and then rolled it not long after he bought it, its in a salvage yard close to my house.
My Old Eclipse is riced out to hell by some mexicans, it looks horrible.
My El Camino is rednecked beyond belief by its current owner.
The old Chevy 1-ton is a nasty looking work truck now, it was clean and badass when I possessed it.
And some ******* owns my old BMW now, it looks so horrible. Wrong size tires, peeled tint, scratched paint, but yet its clean... just not right...
Ohwell, **** like that happens, just remember its only a car...
Kinda like my Ex too, she was nice and well maintained when I had her. Now she's whored out and fat and treated like crap by her new slave driver.

i have had eight cars that sold locally and never seen any of them again. kinda wish i would, gives you closure i guess
sometimes if a dealer takes title on a car new plates are issued when an owner pays registration fees and taxes. thats what they did when i got my formula from a dealer atleast, i got new plates when i got the title in the mail from the dmv. i think if the registration goes out in the dealers posession it gets swapped but i really dont know

It seemed to be sitting there for quite some time but I will be checking on it the next couple days to see if its still there. I would be beyond disturbed if that different license plate was a result of theft.

V6 or not it was in great condition and someone just could care less. Sucks. Have it set on fire and get a tattoo of the bird with the ashes of the car. LOL

Oh man you found my car!!! no j/k that sucks though. I still have my first f-body and was the second owner. I treated it just as good if not better than the first and shall be the final owner as well. really makes you wanna adopt these mis-used cars and clean em up.
