Feedback, please! (Wheel/Tire Question)
Hey y'all.
I've found a great set of wheels for my car, after much looking around and trying to make up my mind.
Only problem, they don't come in 17x9.5
The wheels are 18x9.5 with a +56mm offset. The lug pattern is 5x4.75 (120.65mm).
I'm wondering what size tire would work. I REALLY don't want to have to step down to a 245..traction problems, much?
So what tires do you guys with 18's wear? Will I need anything special to make it fit without rubbing?
Oh, and here's a shot of the wheels, from the dealer's page:
Any info would be mucho appreciated!

Be careful with those black chrome c6 wheels.
I remember when some of the people that bought them, they complained about the grayish color and the wavy lines in the finish.

"Hey ya'll!" Hi Britney!!! Hehe...
I just purchased a set of chrome C6's 18-9.5 & 10.5. As for fitment, this is from the Wheels & Tires sticky:
Bolt Pattern
5 x 4.75" or 5 x 120.65 mm
The numbers in the columns are as follows:
WIDTH ..... OFFSET ......... WIDTH OF TIRE
Front and Rear
7.0" ..... +35 to +40 mm .... 215, 225, 235
7.5" ..... +35 to +45 mm .... 215, 225, 235
8.0" ..... +38 to +55 mm .... 225, 235, 245
8.5" ..... +38 to +45 mm .... 235, 245, 255
9.0" ..... +38 to +56 mm .... 255, 265, 275
9.5" ..... +38 to +56 mm .... 255, 265, 275, 285
10.0" ... +38 to +48 mm .... 265, 275, 285
REAR Only
10.0" ... +38 to +54 mm .... 275, 285, 295
10.5" ... +38 to +50 mm .... 285, 295, 305, 315
11.0" ... +45 to +56 mm .... 305, 315, 335
NOTE: 315 series tires DO NOT fit 9" or 9.5" wheels. It will not be discussed.
bfh = big freakin hammer. Its used to massage the inner fenderwell in a couple MM when you have the 10.5s with 56 or higher offsets, and 285 or bigger tires. The 17x11 and 315 guys do this as well. As you are looking at the wheel (drivers side) the position that needs massaging is approx at the 9oclock position. 295-35s look great out back.
Next stop, tomzwheel's for my Vredestein Utlrac Sessentra's!!!!

Aww no love for the black chrome C6s? If I may ask, what is so undesirable about them to some of you guys? I do really want to know, as there is another set (well, two) of wheels I was practically tied on against these..
(see pics below)
I just think the Black Chrome is so different and not common..

Yeah they are not my first choice. They were just cheap.. but I know if I go "cheap", then in the long run when I look at my car, i'll wonder why I didn't just get what I wanted, since they'll be on my car for a long time!

those black chromes ones look wicked..
dont get those stupid rivets on them, that gives it a rice look. IMO..
I have never liked rivets on a rim...
but those are pimp rims
they remind me of the old iroc rims... a little different, but reminds me of them.

I just looked up "C6 Wheels" and found tons!
Yeah, rivets are gay, as I'm coming to realize.
I think I'm sticking with the black chrome. I like being different ^_^
Also, ulakovic22, thanks for the intel and the pic! Your wheels look great, btw! And you have no rubbage with the 275s? (lol..rubbage). Thats great! Music to my ears!
