Default SAR Wednesday Feb 27th. (TONIGHT!)

I'm going to break the seal on my new set up tonight.

Has been nearly 18 months since the car has seen a track.

I'm looking forward to that first launch. Going to drive that bitch like somebody else is footing the bill.

How far is SAR from DFW? I'd love to see your car run.

Thanks for the good wishes guys. Car stayed straight and shiny side up!

I was fighting wheelspin on every launch. Not horrible, but it threw my short times off and I didn't run the numbers I was hoping for.

Played with tire pressure and shock settings and I might have made it slightly worse as my 60' lost a couple hundredths after my last adjustment. Could have been that lane. No worries, we'll get it dialed in eventually. I still have time before the LTX shootout. We'll go back with the laptop strapped into the seat next to me and see what the datalogger says. We tried to do that on a couple runs last night and got foiled. one time the cable came loose and the other run Tony hit the record button but a couple bikes jumped in front of me and the datalogger timed out before I could make my pass.

We will git 'er done eventually.

I might have a video of a pass or two to be posted up in a few days. Clayton has not had time to review the tape and see how the footage turned out yet.

Not like it's a big secret or that my car is really quick. I ran 11.1X on all 4 passes. First time out on the new combo, so we have some tweaking to do. I also had just gotten back from a business trip and hardly had any time to get the small details ready... for instance I had 3/4 of a tank of gas

We are going to play with shock settings, tire pressure, and shift points. Should hit the goal of being in the 10's (barely) on motor and then I'll hook up the squeeze for some mayhem.

Remember, it's just an LT1.

Car sounded wicked going down the track. Good luck with the adjustments I can see you with a 10.99 or so in your near future!

Thanks man!

Yeah, 10.9's should be pretty easy to hit. I had wheelspin every launch. My previous combo... which was a little less powerful... I hit short times of 1.49-1.51 typically. Wednesday night my 4 short times were 1.56-1.59 and my friends saw the wheelspin at launch. I could also feel that it wasn't dead hooking.

If we get it to hook up and I plan correctly to have 1/4 tank of gas instead of 3/4... those things alone should put me into the 10.9's. We'll even keep going from there and hope to chisel the ET down another couple tenths.

Well, what track do you hit those 1.49 60's? SAR sucks....

Believe it or not, it was at SAR. I got my best short times at Clash of the Titans (extra track prep) and one other big event... I think it was the one LS1tech series race I went to there. I also had some great short times on one random Wednesday night when Chopstix and I went down there. He was up in the stands and told me I pulled the fronts a foot in the air to the tune of 1.50-1.52 's that night.

Right now we are just going to be tweaking to prepare for the LTX shootout, but future plans involve doing something about the OEM LT4 Intake. It just can't support the rest of the motor and is a major choke point for my combo.
