You might as well have left $400 in cash on the dashboard. I put my radar up EVERY single time I get out of the vehicle. Even with that good habit, someone broke into my truck and stole it out of the console.

Gyms & movie theaters are probably 2 of the worst places for car break ins, NEVER leave anything in plain view at either of these places, and you are best to hide it before you even pull in the parking lot because those guys probably just sit in their car waiting for people to drive up & hit the car as soon as you walk into the gym. The other option is to get an alarm with the 2-way transmitter that will let you know your car alarm is going off so you can drop your dumbbells and go whoop some ****.

I had my Tahoe broken into on two separate occasions at the 24 Hour Fitness on Post Oak. One both occasions they took my breifcase containing my laptop computer. So basically, I lost 2 laptops and two very nice brief cases. One of the big reasons I moved away from Houston.

Default damn thieves

Yea I have got in a good habit to where as soon as I'm in the turning lane or what not, I start hiding everything, plus I do have a pretty awesome alarm system, had a 7" touch screen stolen last year along with a Omega and it just made me sick.

What pisses me off the most is that the gyms don't really warn their customers that their cars are targets and they don't hire security because they think it will make them responsible for the break ins.

ya i know im such a dumbass i always think about it and im just to lazy and ignorant.. i know i should put it down but i dont.. and i guess i thought since my alarm was so sensitive that no one would touch it.. cause even hard wind sets my alarm off..

but i didnt think that for them to break that window and grab my radar too all of 5 seconds and they were gone.. so maybe at most my alarm might have stopped them from going through my cenetr console or taking anything elsee..

well i agree but i knew that my gym has had multiple break-ins.. just recently a guy got his wallet stolen 5k charged to his debit.. another guy 7k charged at best buy and kid younger than me got 1700 charged to his..and i always hear of radios bein stolen there...

i know ive seen em there to.. they creep around the parking lot and as soon as they see some one walking towards them the speed off and go to the alley area behind the gym...

i just wish i could see the **** who did this! i dont even care if i get my radar back cause i know that wont ever happen i just wanna beat the people *** who do this !

Sure would be nice if the cops would make a small task force to start roving around & busting people at these places....then do a new expose on them so the word gets out, it might help some & it shouldn't be hard to catch people at a gym if you were staked out in a van or something.

go there with a couple buddies, have someone with an suv or something bigger that people can easily get out of have you and one or two others sitting in it. have a buddy drive a car up there and leave the windows down with another radar or something and have him walk in and get out of sight. you and your other buddies just keep a look out and once something wierd is going on haul *** and...you know the rest. but since they cameras, cops obviously arent around and the rest of the people at the gym employees included probably wouldnt mind having a safer parking lot...youd probably be fine

Damn!! That sucks. We just got a membership there, and have to meet w/ the trainer TONIGHT! I always leave my radar up, (it's a cheap one though) and Mon. night MY dumb *** left my purse in the back and just covered it up.

You would think as many people are going in and out of that place, and it's so lit up all the time that people would'nt mess w/ ur ****.

Sorry again....not just ur radar you have to replace the damn expensive window too!
