Question Anyone use a Harbor Freight Freon Leak Detector?

Anyone use this tool for home use on their personal cars? For $69 seems like a no brainer for the occasional leak?

I purchased one probably 3-4 years back after my home AC wasn't working well and the guys that came out to repair it said I had a 'leak' and they needed to detect it. That was $150 spent of which they didn't find a leak. Complete crap. I've since used the HF detector for cars and vehicles. It works.

For cars the uv light/leak kits work really well also. Sometimes the HF one picks up a leak and it is actually hard to completely pinpoint where it is at.

i've never even used one, probably wouldve came in handy with all the AC's I worked on this past year.
Our detectors at work were buried under a ton of **** in the back of a connex, and everyone was too lazy to dig them out. So we just found the leaks visually 95% of the time, from oil residue on connections/seals.....tighten or replace ring and recheck the vacuum leaktest
