going rate on metal buildings?
anybody in the industry got an idea of what a 50x100x 16 will run money wise?
every single building company I talk to is always like, well I have something a little smaller than what your looking for... then I hang up the phone. I want a price on what I want a price on
My father is actually a project estimator, I'll ask him tomorrow abouts what it would cost. Do you want the siding/insulation/Roofing etc included as well?
EDIT
My father said around $5500.

I had my 24x40 and a 14' awning on one end, garage doors on both ends, pass door, lofts, trunion for an overhead crane ... custom fabbed for under $7K 10 years ago.
Spent 2K on electrical, openers coax, cat5 ...
And 6K on concrete ... 18" beams along the edge and crossing in the middle, 160' of 12' driveway and 60' of sidewalk connecting it to the house.
When I had my home appraised a couple years ago, I was told that same building would run close to $50K today, tun-key. :dunno:
But the 15K in 2000 yielded $25K on the appraisal in 2010.

I'm hoping to stay under my budget of $100K... yes this will be financed but I really dont want to spend any more than that. Which shouldnt be a problem if I can do most of the apartment side myself, which shouldnt be a problem.
One of the guys I'm dealing with will be quoting me a lock and key job on the building alone, all I need to do is get the dirt work done and make sure the ground is level.... I'm hoping he can come in around 50,000-60,000ish... I should know something by tomorrow or wednesday
I'm going to recommend Mueller as well. That's where I got mine from and it's very good quality with pricing that's hard to beat. They don't have a 50'x100' pre-fab listed in the above link but you can see by the prices of the buildings shown that the prices are quite good.
The R panel is what makes them rigid. The same way plywood makes a wall rigid. So it is is absolutely imperative that you begin plumb and square. There is no "fudging" to bring it back.
Use American made self-tapping screws. They pilot a lot easier and rarely will you snap off a head.
