Default High frequency start TIG on car

I have read a few subjects on HF TIG and its ability to destroy the electronics when using it and I havd a few questions. I plan on welding tabs on my frame for my anti roll bar. Just sold me mig so I'll be using TIG.

Disconnect battery or use surge protector?

I will be doing DC HF start, will that matter that much? It's not like AC welding so I'm stuck and would rather not use scratch start.

I've never had any problems. Always put your ground as close as possible to the work so you don't ground through bearings and electronics.

you will never have problem if you are not using hf and ground close to your work.

hf is kind of hard on sensitive circuit, we do a lot of work for the food industries and never use hf when welding on equipments, this can get REALLY expensive when you crash a computer, it happen once in a while to those who use hf

I've worked on everything from Harleys to 100k street rods to 500k boats using high freq and never had a issue. Ground close to the work and if there's any doubt disconnect the battery.
