Don't mean to nose in your business, but what does something like that cost? If financed, what kind of financing options do they typically do on machinery?

A560 starts out around $260k + depending on the amount of fixtures, A560XL ,$290, lease or finance around $4500 a month , for 10 years, I did a lil better than that cause I sold my 5axis Haas VF 3 2 months ago

Thanks for answering that. How much training comes with these units?

Does the manufacturer of cnc equipment typically offer full training for their units? You would think so.

The training that they do provide.......................Lets assume the new owner had zero cnc experience........is it enough to get you off the ground and running?

I assume they will also allow follow up training if requested correct?

Sorry for all tjhe stupid questions. I'm just a guy over here dreaming of owning such a manchine someday.

Yes, you would be able to run it if never had any experience , remember this is different than a normal machine tool , it was specifically built for the automotive machine shop environment , control has a data base built into it , they have already done all the time consuming work that may take years to accomplish with the normal CNC and Cad system ( I tried it for a while with my VF3 Haas ) It is what promt me to go this route

That machine looks sick I've looked into them an what they're capable of. I used to run a Mazak 900 and KDM VTL making turbine parts. Do you mainly do head work at your shop?

I'm working on a head porting project at school on a VF with a 5th axis.
in mastercam 7...

lets just say it's going very slowly. two terms of messing with it here and there I might get it on the machine this next term.

I believe this machine is for doing machine work on existing blocks and heads, NOT building them from a block of metal.
Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Your wrong , it's still a 5 axis vertical mill built around capabilities that will machine things in the size of automotive blocks with bonus features like Digitizing , I have had other 5 axis machines before (HAAS) and I just couldn't physically machine Automotive blocks unless I adapted or modified it greatly plus the spindle RPM's would not allow High Speed machining due to the RPM's VS Torque range , the Centroid was built for that purpose
