Default Trusted online vendor for welding supplies....

I'm in need of basic stuff like helmet, jacket, gloves, etc.

When searching helmet I've picked a couple places keep coming up.

Welders supply.

And

Cyberweld.

Any feedback on these places or other reputable dealers you recommend?

Cyber weld is good. I've bought my Miller Dynasty DX tag runner package there. Quick delivery.

I haven't heard of welder supply though.

HTP is good too. I've bought supplies and a tungsten sharpener that I love. I've heard great things about their welders too. www.usaweld.com

I haven't welded in a good 25 years. All my stuff is buried in storage that would take a whole day to find.

I signed up for a class at local tech school as a refresher. Don't have time to dig my crap out. Plus I don't want to be only person there flipping down my old school helmet. We didn't have these fancy auto darkening helmets in my day.

I need a couple patch panels on my truck and prefer to knock the rust off so to speak in a class than on my own project.

Thanks for the info. I was set on Miller helmet I had listed above but your link for HTP got me thinking.

This one looks like it blows the miller out of water. Your thoughts? Anyone elses thoughts?

Larger view, 4 sensors, more shade options, grind mode, all 1 ratings. Now I'm back to square one but the above helmet looks pretty good.

so I use a couple different hoods at work.

if i'm tigging in tight spots where i need a big field of view because I cant actually point my head at what I wanna see I use a modern hood. miller digital infinity. mostly it stays locked in my jobox.

if i'm actually laying some decent size welds I use an old lightweight fiberglass huntsman. the weight really makes a difference after a long day! never needs batteries!

the hood I use most is a really cheap radnor lite black. it's pretty light and dead reliable. it's solar powered, so no batteries to futz with. it's the best of both worlds.
