the best way that i think is to go by there user rating ( i think thats what its called) Its under there post count. And just make sure that you get a name and a phone number. If i was you id ONLY use paypal. Hope this helps.

use paypal
look for high trader ratings
high post counts add some piece of mind
talk to them on the phone
ask details
see pics unless you're picking stuff up in person

A guy paid me $7,500 for my twin turbo kit almost a month ago and I'm shipping it to Sweden for him. The kit is only now being taken off the car next weekend (moving apartments) and he's cool with it, because he was aware of it all from the start.

You need to make sure the seller is communicating 100% from the start, if he seems shady, trust your judgement.

On higher priced items, I always ask for:

Photos of the item(s)
First and Last name
Residential Address
Two valid phone numbers (home, cell, or work)
References

pay by paypal.com using a credit card, if possible.

Any honest seller shouldn't have a problem providing that info or pics.

it's also a smart practice to purchase from LS1tech "regulars" - people that frequent the site a lot. i wouldn't feel comfortable with a person that had a join date of 2 days ago. you'd have better luck trusting people that have been on the site for a long time and post pretty often, like me. i'm good people

just know it's always a risk buying from some guy you don't know over the internet. good luck in your endeavors.
