Up for sale is my 1999 Trans Am. I am the second owner, purchased in 2003 from the first owner just outside of Pittsburgh, PA. At the time I bought it, the car had 19k miles on it and literally looked and smelled like it was right off the assembly line. The first owner drove the car only on weekends and only locally. I drove the car a little bit more than that, but still only in the fair weather months. As a result, this car has only been touched by snow once (surprise snow snower while car was sitting in driveway). It has been garage/carport kept for its entire life. I am a super-perfectionist, and detailing is a hobby of mine, so the car has always been kept waxed, and I clay bar/polish the car twice a year. My regimen goes so far as to include the suspension and wheel wells.
All maintenance and modifications in the time I have owned the car have been performed by me or a good friend of mine who is a certified GM Master Technician, and really, the car has been a dream to own...I replaced both window motors and one wheel stud that I broke while trying to remove a lug that a dealer over-tightened during a state inspection. Outside of that it's been oil changes and modifications only.
As for the mods, the list is below...the details are as follows. Instead of shipping or driving the car to Decatur, I ordered the LPE parts to do the install myself with the help of my technician buddy. I never could decide what to do about the exhaust...i've had three different sets of headers, none of which ever got installed, because I couldn't find a catted Y that I liked. Thanks to that, the install was never finished and tuned. I still have everything but the cam springs and the headers/Y.
Modifications:
LPE Lid
WS6 lower air box
Smooth bellows
LPE ported/descreened MAF
LPE ported TB
LPE GT2-5 camshaft (currently out of the car, but will sell with the car)
Corsa exhaust with Premium Pro tips (the good ones)
Hotchkis Progressive Springs
Bilstein HD Shocks
Energy polyurethane suspension bushings
UMI Adjustable Panhard Bar
Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 tires on rear, BFGoodrich G-force T/A on front (about 20k miles on them)
Appearance:
US Exotics WS9 hood (original model from 2004)
Ruff Racing 278 wheels in Hyper Silver with polished/clear coated lip (18x8.5 front, 18x9.5 rear)
Painted/clear coated brake calipers
Custom painted tail panel
LPE fuel rail covers
Custom painted/clear coated airbox and lid
Billet PONTIAC lettering on rear bumper cover
35% tint all around (minus windshield of course)
Interior:
Heated all-leather Arizen upholstered Recaro seats in two tone
Rear seat delete
All interior surfaces covered in top grain vinyl in matching torch red/charcoal color
Extensive use of french seams (really gives premium feel and updates the car)
Redline accessories shift boot, console cover and e-brake boot
C6Z06 shifter
Bright silver painted/clear coated interior accent pieces
Push-button start switch
Extras included:
Original hood
Original airbox
Original window sticker, invoice and brochure
Original rear seat belts and hardware
As for flaws/issues - Really nothing much to speak of. There are of course a few flaws in the paint, seeing as this is an 11 year old car. The hood is fiberglass and is starting to show the typical signs of aging fiberglass, there are a couple of very small cracks in the paint on the right-side ram air hump. There is one noticeable 1-inch scratch on the driver's door. There are a couple of very small chips in the paint on the front bumper cover. Two of the interior panels (c-pillar trims) are not vinyled yet because I had planned to extend the rear deck out to the front seats to house a sound system for the car...never did get to that, and I have the extra vinyl for those panels which I will let go with the car. There are a few small wrinkles in the vinyl, all of them are in very inconspicuous areas that you would not notice at first. The right front wheel has two scratches on the lip...these actually happened during mounting/balancing when I got the wheels.
Overall, this is a fantastic car for someone who loves the Trans Am as much as I do and wants one that is as close to perfect as you can find these days. Car is located in Fleetwood, PA...about 20 minutes west of the Lehigh Valley.

I fabricated that plate out of 1/8" lexan. The start switch snaps right in if you cut the proper hole size...but I did have to make a mount for the TCS switch. Then I just sanded and painted matte black.

Good luck with sale
On a side note, you don't happen to have any custom center panels for sale do ya? Mine that I got from you was destroyed in a rearend collision and when the body shop replaced they used a NHRA Special Edition one He said he went thru 7 or 8 of em trying to match mine and that was the best looking one.

Nothing...just that i've already got one (LS1). I don't want to sell this one only to buy the same motor. I'm looking for a change. I'm not sure i'd actually want a GTO at all, but i'd consider an 05-60 in blue or orange.
