1993 S10 - LS / 4L65 swap
Year: 1993
Make: Chevrolet
Model: S-10
Price: $8000
Mileage: 147000
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): NC
Color: Red
Transmission: Automatic
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive
LS Engine?: Car has LS engine
It's a 93 S10 with 147K original miles on the body and was garage kept most it's life. Original paint still shines up very nice but does have small scratches and chips from over the years. The swap was done correctly with just about all brand new parts. Motor is about the only thing that was used when installed and is a 5.3 pull out with a stock LS1 F-body cam. Wiring harness was bought brand new from Current Performance and works with the factory body harness so that all factory gauges work like they should. Motor has LS6 intake, 28# injectors and Spectre intake. Exhuast is through Sanderson shorty headers, and Heartthrob true duals (I also have a set of brand new BRP ceramic coated midlength and longtube in-frame headers that I never installed). All accessories and radiator are brand new GM and a combination of F-body and Corvette. The trans is a 4L65 that was bought brand new from Nook and Tranny and has the deep pan and a Lokar dipstick. Rear end is a 3.73 with limited slip and a Moser aluminum girdle. Diff and trans fluids were recently replaced with Royal Purple and oil has been changed every 2,500 - 3,000 miles with Pennzoil Ultra synthetic and PF48 Delco filter. Bucket seats, console and floor shifter have been swapped out of a 98 Blazer...they are very clean and look factory correct. I recently replaced all the door latch and locking internals on the driver side door. Truck also will come with a snap on bed cover but I took it off as I use the bed regularly.
RPM tuned the truck and it put down close to 300rwhp and 310rwhp. Very good torque curve and pretty good numbers considering the lack of a cam and just shorty headers. Torque is over 285rwtq across the board from 2300-5300rpm.
I love the truck and drive it daily but just need something bigger. Truck drives straight and has no steering issues but I'm pretty picky and bought all new Moog tie rods, adjusters, center link, pitman arm and front springs for the truck that have not yet been installed. All these parts will be included.
Looking to get $8,000 OBO cash or trade towards a 99-02 RCSB or 06+TBSS. I've been looking around and really think this is one of the cleanest S10 swaps out there.
Thanks-
Rick

^ Yes, when I bought it the previous owner said that the next highest bidder was contacting him about buying it once they were outbid...I assume that must have been you.
Since I've owned it I did the LS6 intake and throttle body swap, new 411 PCM, dyno tune at RPM, new O2 sensors, new plugs and MSD wires, fixed a couple vacuum leaks, changed all fluids, installed the Moser diff girdle, new shocks, new speakers in the front, new door internals on the driver door, new hood hinge seals and new headlights. Also bought the new steering components and headers, that aren't installed yet.
Feel free to make an offer if you're still interested...worst I can say is no. Pricing is OBO but 4K is definitely less than what I'm looking to get out of it.
