LT1 shops in LA area
I am looking for a good shop in the LA area to check out my 1997 TA; would like a shop that knows there way around lt1s. I just built a 355 with le1 heads, lt4 hot cam and full boltons; but I can not get it to run 100% correct. I have no idea what is going on; I have tried everything, I even installed a LTCC ignition system with 8 ls2 coils.

The car is running rough at idle and I am sure it will have a problem in the higher rpm's also; it shakes at idle a lot, it just is not running correctly. The idle will also fluctuate up and down at idle, but there is no codes showing.

^Maybe but it seems to be too far off for it to just be the tune though; It really runs like crap at idle. With all of the mods that are done it is possible the tune is off but I am not sure if it would make it run this bad. If I quickly hit the throttle at idle in park the motor will act as if I hit it then hit it again like a lazy woo....woo instead of just a single quick and solid woo!

^Ryne do you honestly believe that will fix my problem. I really thought about doing the efi 24x system before I got my LTCC system, but I hear I will have problems with smog and it is more of a pain to install the 24x system.

The only pain in the butt part is going to be installing the reluctor ring, but if that will solve my problem then I guess I have to buy the 24x system. After I install everything I would like to have you tune the car for me; it is going to take a while because i am going to send the harness out to be reworked for the ls1 pcm.

^ Ya but getting that timing cover off and on without having a oil leak is going to be a pain. I just need to be sure to drop the oil pan enough to get the gasket out from the timing cover. That is the only pat of the job that may give me a problem.
