Florence, Arizona??
Can anyone from Arizona tell me....how Florence, AZ is?? My parents just bought a house out there and the house looks gorgeous. From what my parents tell me its a small town that is just growing......about 15 miles away from the city?

15 miles from what city?? If you mean Phoenix. Try more like 45 miles. If you like small towns it is nice. To get to Mesa, Chandler, you are talking 45 min. drive. Phoenix will be an hour plus drive in good traffic. 1.75 hour in bad traffic from there.
Hope that helps you out.

Prison!!! It's surrounded by one of the, if not "the" biggest prison in the state!! That's all that lives out there....guards!! That's why the houses are so cheap. Keep your door locked!!

It's SE of Apache Junction. Apache Junction is East of Phoenix and is pretty much the Meth capital of the US. For a while, they were finding a bunch of meth labs all over AJ.
Take the US-60 from AJ south for about 30 minutes at the speed limit to get to Florence. AJ itself is considered the boonies, let alone Florence. MF2KA is right. There's a huge state prison on the East side of Florence. Florence is a huge ghost town. What I mean is that you can see houses and buildings and cars, but no people. It's very eerie, but then again, that is how AJ is too. There's really nothing out there. That's where a lot of older/retired people go that don't like the congestion of a big city, but like to be close enough to head into town.
