Default some exhaust work we did at our shop

this is 01 camaro SS with forged 347, heads and what not. he had a shitty "muffler shop special" exhaust on it.
he wanted to go with a single 3.5 exhaust and dump it behind the rear fascia so you cant see it, but keep the CME tips there for show.
pics:

new y-pipe with flowmaster merge before we re-install it and paint it.

here is the old y-pipe

y pipe finished, painted, and installed

portion of the exhaust right before the bend over the axle

up and over the axle.

where the exhaust dumps.

same picture different angle.

just wanted to share guys.

Yep! I had him do it that way because: 1) the CME tips are only 2 1/4 inch piping and that would've hurt the flow 2) it wouldve complicated the setup bigtime behind the axle with the muffler that I wanted to use 3) I'm going to have the CME tips polished and this they will always stay clean with no exhaust running through them. I hate shiny exhaust tips that are dirty as hell from a big cammed car's exhaust, and 4) Now I can change the exhaust whenever i choose without always re-adjusting the tips

CME tips on a lowered SLP SS are the **** in my eyes

LOL at 02NBMWS6 making a quick change exhaust setup.

is there any other exhaust system you havent tried? CME with dumps over the axle.. sweet.

Hey ryne I have a 95 impala and I just ordered some hooker headers and I don't have any cats how much would it be to make and install some hi flo cats and install the headers? And also its a obd1 and it needs a good dyno tuning.

install on impala ss would be 300 for the headers, and 160 for exhaust work , plus whatever the cats costs...... tuning will cost 450
