Default Passing smog......

So how many people are actually passing the famous sniffer check with mods done ? Such as high-flows cats, bigger cams, and all that good stuff. If you are or no someone that does list what mods are done. Basically I need to get my car back up to smog passing status (exhaust) but I don't want to worry about passing every 2 years or knowing someone at the testing station. As I want to add a bigger came in the next few months also. An insight let me know

It's good to know someone that knows someone OR take it to an Import shop, usually they don't know what to look for

Thanks blackhawk_02 your a big help...I'm glad there's helpful people like you on the board. I did a search for smog and all that good stuff and only found everybody talking about knowing someone. I want to know who has mods and is genuinely passing smog testing.....like 400-450rwhp cars, is there any passing smog without jumping through hoops ??

Yeah I had to do that with my 3rd Gen after I replaced the crappy 5.0, didn't really want to do it again. Oh well

I don't think our sniffer is as strict as California, but we still get sniffed. I'll just hope for the best, not going too crazy with anything anyways.

Myself I have no problem paying a "Performance Car Tax" as long as it's reasonable.

I know of a couple of ls1 cars making 400-450rwhp that pass smog or at least the sniffer just fine. These cars are head and cam cars with long tubes (pass the sniffer, just not visual), and high flow cats. You just need the right combo. These cars were done at Haddad Motorsports, they have a "Green" package that works well...
