Default 2002 Black on Black WS6 a4

Ok so I was doing my usual weekend routine of looking up some of my favorite cars online and comparing prices and I found a 2002 Black on Black WS6 a4 at a dealer. The car looks great and believe it or not only has 4108 miles on it and its a 1 owner... The dealer was asking for 25k. I checked kbb and even with all its features it was valued at between 18 and 19k... Is the dealership crazy or do they have it right. I'm not in the market right now but I was thinking somewhere within the next couple of years once Im done with school to look into getting a ws6. Could I expect to pay even more down the road for one of these? Any insight would be much appreciated!

Dealer can charge what they want, and possibly get it if they wait long enough. We have seen lots of low mileage SS/WS6 cars in here go for blue book ($17k-$18k), so I would say bookmark it and wait for the dealer to drop the price to then swoop in and negotiate. Otherwise there are other low mileage examples in the high teens out there. $25k is getting real close to the price of a used 5th gen, and the dealer should feel the pressure...

The dealer is not 'out of the ballpark' with that price. These ultra low mileage cars with under 10,000 miles, especially a WS6, is a rare breed (not counting the CETA which was put away by quite a few owners). A serious premium is involved for these cars but personally I would like to pay in the $22,000 - $23,000 range, but if I really wanted a new MINT showroom car, then I would go for it. As I said before, the dealer is pretty close.

Thanks for posts guys. I thought that a price of 22k to 23k seems a bit more reasonable but I think they are trying to capitalize on the fact that there just arent that many Firebirds let alone WS6 trans AMs in the imediate area, and far fewer with that mileage. Including mine theres around 6ish that I know of and we all have relatively high miles and theres no WS6s from what I've seen. Once again thanks!
