2002 som z/28
Well I finally decided that I’m going to sell my car. I hardly ever have time to drive it anymore, and its time for me to consolidate some things.
It’s a 2002 Camaro Z/28. Sunset Orange Metallic (SOM), 49K Miles, flawless black on black leather, t-tops. Always garaged, yada yada yada. Stock except for long tubes and a lid.
Appearance:
- VFN Sunoco Hood – No line
o Custom Sunoco Bowtie Stripes (not installed.. yet)
- Front Clip repainted to match hood Perfectly ( had some rock chips before)
- Billet Grille with 69 Camaro Emblem
- Side badges from a 69 Z/28
- Satin Black Berger Panel
- 17x9, 17x11 Torque Thrust M’s
o 275-40-17 NT555’s on front
o 315-35-17 NT555R’s on the back
- Front calipers painted SOM, and brackets gunmetal.
- 3000K HID's
- area between bumper and radiator support has all been taken out, sanded, and repainted satin black for a nice clean look.
What do you think its worth?

Gorgeous color and a very clean car - low miles, color both help while the mod list will limit your market. I'd think about 35-40c on the dollar for the mods plus what the car would be worth in stock condition is a good ballpark to start at and then go from there.

Oh no! Another heartbreak waiting to happen. A beautiful car, with mods out the ying yang, that no one will lay out decent $$ for.
Seriously though, take a look at the numerous other posts in this section. It is filled with modded cars that appear to be really nice, some with lower mileage than yours. They are worth good money but no one is buying them at those prices. Very few sales are taking place and usually those are going for cheap $$. Your car is worth every bit of www.kbb.com 'private party' pricing plus 25%-33% of the mods original cost. Now that you know what it is worth, good luck trying to sell it at that price. Maybe you will be lucky (there are always exceptions) but don't expect it. GLWS!!

nice z. I sold my 2002 SOM SS for $18k with 27k original miles (last year). Mods were cam, intake, headers, electric cutout, rims, and some other small stuff. It was an auto.
I would venture to say you could ask for $15k and get somewhere in that ballpark from a good buyer. Just be patient, the market aint what it used to be! Patience will get you the true value

Ok, So i've been really busy with school the last month, and haven't even hardly driven my shitbox. I've kinda decided that my winter project will be to part the car, and go back to stock. That is, minus the appearance mods, unless i get what i need out of the hood and spoiler.
I guess my question is: how stock should I make it? Also, the car was originally an auto, but i put a 6 speed in it. Regardless, i'm not going to sell it with the built tranny if the engine is stock.
Thoughts? Offers?
Thanks
