Gen 2 wheel choice poll 79 z28
My 79 z28 currently has the wrong wheel on it size wise and its causing tire rub with the 15's. Previous owner ran low profile tires to avoid it but I needed new tires so I went with the originals not knowing the backspacing was incorrect on the rim. SO...................
I was looking for a cheap solution. I love the American Racing Salt Flat Special but not at the price for this car at this time.
Please vote or if you know anyone with original factory rims 15x7 let me know. Not looking to spend stupid money for a steel factory wheel either but would prefer to go stock.

Draglites. I had a 79 Camaro with draglites on it. They look mean as hell. I will get some pics up. The L88 hood looks nice and flows well with the car. But you probably want to stay with the stock look though.

choice #4 hands down!!! I had american racing outlaw 1's on my 78 z28 15x7 front and 15x8 rear and it was perfect...heres a pic. I coulda squeezed a little bigger tire than the 275 in back too, but it did look good with the big n' littles oh and they never seem to get dirty...which is awesome

Just a quick note, the factory wheels were 15x7, not 15x8.
The first two wheels you posted are inexpensive steel wheels with a marginal chrome finish. They'll be prone to rust within a couple of years. I'd go with #4, as it's sort of "period correct" for a '79. Be careful with the rim width. 8" rims are a tight fit on a 70s Camaro, especially in the front.

Nice! pm with me some options if you have them in my price range, looking to keep it at or under $100, or reasonably close, per wheel ( I know I'm being cheap but this is a budget restore..LOL)
The bushing and springs and shocks helped but didnt fix it so I'm guessing the correct wheel will take care of the rest.
