Default Sumitomo HTR+ Questions...

Hey folks, just wondering if anyone here has experience with the Sumitomo HTR+ tires...they have a great rating on Tire Rack compared to other all season performance tires so I was hoping someone might have used them before. Let me know, thanks!

I run them on the front of my car, nice tire for the money...I dont have alot of miles on them, so I cant tell you how they wear or if they are going to stay quiet or not.

I run them on all 4 corners. They are a great tire for the money. Tread life is real good.

Only problem is that they don't hook like I'd like them too, but you can't complain about the price.

I bought a set. Love them where else can you get a set of tires for $400 shipped that make your car feel faster because they don't hook...

I had some and they were fine but they are a very hard rubber, like everyone else says they don't hook worth a flip.

No worries, I don't need to hook. My CETA isn't a track bird and I hardly ever street race. Its a DD so I want a good all season tire; this tire has great reviews on Tire Rack too.

Is traction as terrible as he makes it sound? I also don't drive like a maniac so that could be a factor as far as traction.

I have these tires on my SS and I love them. Well they are now my winter tires. I drove one day on the 19s in the snow and couldn't move. With the sumitomos I dont spin unless on purpose. I havn't had one problem in the rain, so most likely the post about losing the rearend is because of his driving habits. I havn't had any problems with traction and I drive my SS like you drive your CETA. DD, very little street racing, and no track time. I will get another set when these wear out.
