WTF is 315/35/17 Sumitomo !! My ***.... Picture in.
They claim 12.6 section width !!!! Ha.
Look at this picture of the same tire beside 315/35/17 GoodYear GS D3. Is that Sumitomo a JOKE !!!
Take a look , I also added a photo of the BFG T/A KD Compared to GS D3 in 315/17. Too ******* bad they don't make that size in 18 .

Well, how about the BFG T/A KD compared to the Goodyear GS D3s in width, here's a picture of the 315/30/17s side by side for ya, just wanted to ask if someome experienced both to learn more about width, I always thought they are the exact same, it's just that the GS D3s look "Beefier". Here's the 315s:

Example : 295/35/18 in BFG T/A KD or GS D3 is actually WIDER than any 305 or 315 (17") Nittos, MTs or some stupid Sumitomo as well as other brands. The goodyear and bfg 295 18s specs show 11.9 width while the 315 Nittos/MTs/Summis show 12.6 which is 0.7" WIDER ,However when you get them side by side like I did here, you learn it's ******* bullshit. and YES the number 11.9 width is ACTUALLY WIDER than 12.6 IN REAL LIFE, HEHEHEHE
Want a tire that stands for his width specs ? Go with Goodyear and BFG, I'm sure other guys here can add more to this list.
Correct me if I'm wrong guys, that's what I found in my searches for a long time now.

the 12.6 and 11.9 i think refer to section width which is the tread face width and not the overall width of the tire....still doesnt make that much sense because you would think those numbers would correspond to each other. maybe it depends where they are made. europe vs the us?

When you see the Nitto tire spec telling you 315/17s need at least an 11" rim width !! I promise you their 315 will mount on a 10" rim.
If thier Nitto 335 wider than GS D3 315 (Which I honestly doubt) then it'll be wider in just 0.1-0.2 inches, but again I really doubt it and still think the 315 D3s are wider.

I've got the BFG KD's and I used to have 555 Nittos...big difference. Also ive seen 335 Nittos on a 10.5" rim fit fine where as anything bigger than a 315 BFG would bulge.
