Cool 315 TOYO Proxes TQs DRs installed on my z28! pics

Just swaped the tires out yesterday from my bfg drag radial 295/35-18 to Toyo proxes tq drag radials 315/35-18.

haven't had a chance to really try them out but they drive really nice and quite compared to my wasted down bfg. only thing that bugs me is how the tread is, makes me think i got two right tires.

the bf Goodrich dr's had a bit more life in them and with a nice burnout the would hook as good as my 255 mickeys. was going to use them till i see wire but i really could not wait to put these on to get the killer stance i was looking for.
5 month ago with my hankook 275/35-17

yesteday before tire swap bfg dr 295/35-18

after have to say they look nice! the tread looks so good! and i think its going to grab nice! and pretty sure they will widen up on about 18 psi at the track!
315/35-18

thanks to 02NBMWS6 for the trade.

They look great. Even better that theyre quiet. Drive 'em in the rain and let us know how they do.
Any other pics? Further out, whole car, etc.

Congrats on the tires. They look good, and you will definately enjoy the hookage.

They work very well in the rain for DR's with that deep deep tread. In light rain I had no issues. I got stuck in a completely downpour on black top, and it totally sucks but thats to be expected.

Anyone who is looking for some good DD DR's, buy the Toyos!

Here is a link to find out what they cost for the tire size that you want: http://www.tiresdirect.net/TOYO_Proxes_TQ_C916.cfm

I would also have to say they hook quite a bit better than the Nittos.

I was wondering about the rain. Nice to know. I'll be getting these next.

I take it that you ordered them from tiresdirect.net then? How were they to work with? I have searched around and can't seem to find anyone that carries them.

I think they are the only people that have them. No problems with them at all.

I'll have mine in a few weeks. Gonna get them when I go back home. Not too bad of a tire for 138 a piece.

nice price for the tires. are these wider than the nittos drag radials, cause you know how the nittos can be narrow as a white womans ***, i want some nice wide contact area, will these be good on a weekend car that runs 10.7's on some 17x11's?

They come up as $228 each and the overall width as 12.5 inches. They honestly look kind of narrow to me, but maybe it is the pictures.
