Default Have a 6-speed car, need help for track tires!

Well - here is my situation. I have a 6 speed 2000 ws6 that puts down around 480 rwhp NA and a little over 600rwhp with nitrous. I have adjustables in the front and Koni yellows in the rear, LCA relocation brackets with non adjustable LCA's, adjustable torque arm with relocation brackets, A Moser 12 bolt with 3.73's and detroit tru-track. The car is stock weight, lowered about 1 1/2"s and is sitting on deep dish 18" vette wheels. I am looking for a wheel/tire combo for the track. I dont know what to get. I would like the car to hook very well and dont know where to start as far as my wheel/tire combo is concerned. If in my situation what would be recomended?

My goal is to 1.5x 60 ft or even possibly 1.4x 60 ft. is this possible with my car and a good wheel tire combo?

Im running Prostars right now with 28x10.5 ET Drags in the back (Bias ply). I pulled a couple 1.55 60's the first time out hardly messing with the suspension. I say go with a 15" wheel combo and run a Bias ply slick since you have some street wheels already. My car put down 754hp/707tq. It is possible to cut those 60's with your combo

Did you have to cut anything to fit the 28" tires?

15in Wheel, Bogart, Weld, Billet Specialties, ect..any of those are great! Tire-27in or 28in ET Drag or Hooser. Bias Ply for sure if its track use only. Then you can let her eat off the limiter!!!

28x10.5-15 et drag stiff sidewall. and you will need adjustable lower control arms and to slightly trim the inner edge of the rear bumper wheel well.

The tires trimmed my back bumper for me. I should have trimmed them back a little bit. I even centered them to make sure and they still rubbed.

I had to roll my fenders a bit, and mess with the LCAs. I don't have any new 60's on my new setup yet. I'll be happy with 1.6s though, seeing as I'm still learning the mechanics of launching my car.
