I'm picking up a set of 275/40R18's and I've narrowed it down to two tires mainly because they are under 160 bucks. Which one would you go with? Anyone had experiece with them?
im running ze 502 275 40 17's on my SS.. they ride well, arent loud(road noise), and bite pretty well, condsidering im making just over 400 rwhp.. i dont know what your looking at for them, and your mods, but im a falken fan.
I'm running the Falken FK 452's on my car, 275/35/18's front, and 275/40/18's rear on 18 x 9" wheels. IMO, great tire, will buy again!
I've ran Dunlop 8000's, and Pirelli PZero Rosso also. I like the 452's better then the Pirelli's, and as much as the Dunlops., but I haven't ran the BFG's.

For the fronts the 452s are fine. Not loud. I had them on the fronts in 275s. Don't put them in the rear. I was spinning all over the place with just bolt ons.
i got 452's and love em, no complaints. only other tires i'd get would be bfg kdw2's, or some Micheline's if i ever feel like forkin over 500/tire for em haha.

I've got 275x18's on the front of my car. They aren't loud and stick fine. I went with them since they were decently priced. Daily driving them in the rain hasn't been an issue either. Going with them all around on my 69 Camaro.

I have the BFG's now. Great all around tire. Took them autocrossing twice and performed pretty good for a street tire. Should look at the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec tires though. They're my next set of tires and MAN do they have some great ratings. My buddy has them on his 2000 WS6 and they stick like a **** and are just as good as my tires in the rain.
They cost 161 for the 265 40 17, not sure how much for your size
