Ive had both but now i have the NT05R and i couldnt really complain about either off them. I do think the NTO5r's grip better in my opinion because with 275's on my 01 SS with just bolt ons and 4.10's i would still have traction issues in 1st not much but still. With the NT05r's and im full bolt ons it does really really well in first. As far as DD them its a toss up for me didnt notice either being that different on the highway or streets as far as manners. Longevity i dont know for either since i sold my 01SS after i only put about 1k in miles on my 555r's and the ones i have now the NTO5r's ive only put about 1k as well so no sure how they will hold up and how many miles i can get out of them but im gonna assume ill be lucky to get 6-8k maybe if i dont go crazy. I should add that the nt555r's were 275's and my NTO5r's are 315's.

I have 555r2's and now 555r drags
I like both of those tires. Do they make a NT-05 in a C5 size??
They 555r2's handled great in dry weather... I just purchased the 555R Drags, so no info there yet..
Who has NT-05's???

I just purchased the NT05r's in 315/35/17 and once I get them on I will do a review with pictures and everything. I am curious as if they are any good either. I have used the 555r's before and liked them. I heard the NT05r's were stickier so I decided to give them a shot this time around.

Super chevy was the one that did a test between the mt et street and the nto5r.
I have a set of 315 nto5r's waiting to go on my turbo car. I will let everyone know how they do in a month or so.

I have 275/40/17 NT05r's sitting in my garage now. Getting them mounted this week sometime. I'll chime in after I get to play with the car on them a little bit. Only thing I can personally compare them to is my GY Eagle's, haven't run DRs on the Z yet.
I do have some friends on 555r's though, so I might be able to compare with them.

Nt05R's are a step up from 555r's, but if you don't have much power over stock/bolt ons, the 555R's will suffice.
My buddy has 400rwhp in his '00 SS and has zero traction issues with his 275 555R's, he's running low 12's (stock stall) in his A4.
Im sure when he bumps up his HP a little, and adds his 4000 stall, he will need to upgrade to 05R's.
One thing many people fail to realize: If the tires don't spin, if you don't have wheel hop, they're fine. You don't need mickey thompsons or slicks for a bolt on car...it's just a waste of money...if they don't spin, they don't spin! Sure, the Nt05r's may have a higher treshold, but if you dont max out the capabilities of a 555r, why spend the extra money?
