so I purchased a set of zr1s off a friend. They have mix matched wheels all around 275/40/17. 2 out of the 4 tires are still good. i would like to get some 285/40/17s for the rears. Anyone know a 285 that comes wide? Ive searched and found some nice pics, but no name brands.

I run the Nitto NT555s in 285/40-17 on my wife's 17x9.5s and they fit well. They are wider than the 275s on the front but a little bit.

nitto 555r extreme 315/35/17 on 9.5 rim fit nice.. they run narrow so dont let the "315" scare you.. I have them on my TA right now on 17x9 TT2s...no rub and they sit on the rim nice.. no excessive tire bulge...

Here is an old combo that I had. These were 17x9.5" TTII wheels with Goodyear GS-D3s. 275/40 front, 285/40 rear.

These are probably some of the widest 285 tires you'll find. They look wider in person than some 315s that I've seen.

I kind of miss this old setup. Sometimes I wish I had kept those wheels/tires.

Wow! Those wheels/tires look amazing! I was considering in trying out 295/35/17 but damn those pics convinced me to go ahead and purchase 2. Thanks man.
