Default Who has run 275/40 17 ET Street Radials?

Just wondering how well they work. I run the same brand tires on my Buick with good look, but are on 15" wheels.

I heard 15" wheels won't fit on the back of a F body. The one I have has a 9" in it, but they retained the stock brakes, so I'm guessing 15" wheels won't fit.

TIA

I have a set on the stock Speedline wheels and love them. Fit good and grip great!

Well there are 15" wheels that will fit the big brakes on F bodies.Billet Specialties make a specific F body rear wheel and welds RTS wheels are made to fit late models with big brakes. There are other companies making new wheels to fit newer cars to-do some checking. That said alot of people are running 275/40 17 MTs( including me) and are happy with them.I guess depending on your car and hp the 15s might do better.

I ran a 1.61 60 time with them on 17s & quite a few 1.6s but if track prep isnt perfect I break loose a lot. They dont last too long either so dont drive around a lot, save them for the track. I got 5k miles out of a set but I did do some serious burnouts. I am going with a bias tire with smaller diameter wheel this year.

I love those tires on the street. Hook pretty hard from a 1st gear roll with 720 rwhp if it's warm out. Couldn't get my slicks to hook below 3rd gear on the street.

I picked up a set. We'll see how they work. I've had good luck out of those tires on other cars, just never ran any on 17's before.

Thanks everyone.
