Default Best all season performance tire-245 50 16?

What year round performance tire would you guys suggest for the stock size 245 50 16. I will drive in rain but not snow. I would like something oriented more to the performance end of things.

I have had great luck with michelins, but the Pilot series does not seem to be being made in that size any more.

What else is good?

Thanks!

Mark

We get a ton of rain in the summer here in Fl and my Kumho Ecsta tires feel great. Ride is smooth and the price is good. I've had some people suggest Firestone but the issues they had in the 90s still lingers in the back of my mind.

While I don't have experience with them, the cooper zeon rs3-a is a well rated all-season tire and comes in the 245-50-16 size.

Continental DW or DWS extreme contact tires are very good for the price. Been running them on my car for a few years and no complaints. Highly rated on Tirerack.

I had the Ecsta's also and they were a great tire for the money

BF Goodrich G-Force Super Sport A/S. Rated for use in snow, but they're incredible in the wet and excellent corner-carving.

I have a set of the RS3-As on my T/A in 275/40/17. I put them on in the fall and they're pretty good so far. Haven't gotten to test them in warm weather yet, but they've done well in the cold, even down into the 20s. Plus they only cost me about $400 shipped to my door.

The BFG's are a decent deal, especially the G-Force Sport Comp 2's. BFG offers a $70 discount for much of the year. Apparently Nitto 555 or Continental DW don't come in this size or I'd recommend those too.

This is what tire rack offers.

I'm going to vote Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval. They are more of a warm weather performance tire (manufacturer doesn't recommend driving in snow) but dry traction and in the rain is very good. When I need new tires I'm buying another set.
