Weld Draglites vs. Prostar Skinnies!
Which has the better look and advantage between Weld Draglite Skinnies 15X8 rear // 15X3.5 front vs. Prostars 15X8 rear // 15X4 Front Skinnies? Want some opinions before I go and purchase some for my 1998 Trans Am!
Thanks for any opinions given!

I don't usually put up a link to my old car website but here it is:
https://ls1tech.com/moderators/psj/default.htm
The Pro Stars in the pics are 15x3.5/15x8 with 28x9x15 et drags in back.
The Draglites are regular 15x3.5 in front and XP 16x9's in back with 26x11.5x15 et streets.
Pro Stars are typically .5-1 lb heavier than Draglites.
15x4's won't fit on front due to the dish of the rim.

my stock wheels and tires (16x8 w/245/50) weighed 42lbs a piece. The 15x3.5 draglites weighed 18lbs w/tires on the front, and the 15x8" rears weighed 42lbs with 275/50/15 BFG DR's.

My 15 x 3 1/2 Prostar w/Moroso DS2 weighs 23#. 15 x 8 w/MT 26 x 10.5 x 15 ET Street = 35#
WickEdSix98,
That 18 pounds is sure light for your 15 x 3 1/2 Draglites. What tire do you have that's that light?

just to clarify for you guys:
the moroso DS2 weighs ~12lbs....The special 2 ply moroso is ~10...about the lightest out there. Your weld runner should be ~11 lbs, 23 lbs sounds about right... The VW tire (radial...not speed rated as well as mismatched for a rear et or qtp etc rear tire) should be heavier then the DS2 Radials in general are heavy. The VW tire is a whopping ~18 lbs! The scale used is way off...you need one that has a smaller resolution so there is less error.
You'll see weights all over the place due to difference scales used etc.
Regarding best rim....choose our Bogarts, they look the best, fit the best, lightest and we made them FOR F-bodies:-).
