Default Weld Pro-Star or 11" ZR1's for my daily driver?

I plan on buying a new set of wheels this spring for my 1998 A4 with a Vig 3200 and pretty much all bolt-ons. It's either going to be a set of Weld Pro-Stars (15x3.5 and 15x8) or a set of ZR1 wheels (17x9 and 17x11). I will be mounting a cheap tire on the front and a Nitto drag radial on the back either way. I drive it 300+ miles per week in all kinds of weather and make less than 10 trips to the track per year but I do some street racing if the opportunity presents itself.

I'm not sure which finish I like best on the ZR1's, but I'm leaning towards gunmetal for my car. I think chrome would look great, but there are a ton of cars in my area with chrome ZR1's and I want something different. I would also lower the car with an Eibach Prokit, tint the windows, and trim some other items in gunmetal grey if I go with gunmetal.

Which wheels do you suggest, and if you vote for the ZR1s which finish would you get? Chrome, polished, black, gunmetal, black chrome, etc.? Here is a picture of my car for reference:

I voted for the ZR-1s. Bigs and littles don't make for good DD I would imagine. There was a guy on here that wrecked his car taking a turn at 110mph with littles in the front.

As far as finish. I have chrome AFS ZR-1s from ebay. Chrome gets tiring, too showy and too much attention. Looks great at night though. FWIW, I'm selling my wheels b/c they are just too showy. I would definitely stay away from polished, as it requires too much work to keep blingin. I saw an MMM car like yours with black ZR-1s and it just didn't fit right. I say go with your first choice of gunmetal...and then lower it.

Thanks for the input guys! I happened across a great deal on a set of polished AFS ZR1 wheels today, 17x9 and 17x11.. I'll post some pics up as soon as the weather cooperates.

Ebay? What offset? Also, I thought they only made 9.5" wide in the front?

Polished, bought them used from a local guy. He purchased them from AFS on eBay, 50mm offset in the rear. 9", 9.5", it's all the same... hehehe. You gotta listen to what I mean, not necessarily what I say.

Either black chrome or the polished ZR1s. Welds for daily driving get a little risky, especially when you need to take a turn hard.

Here's a couple pics of my new wheels which are already dirty (just like the rest of my car). The wind chill here was -10* the other day, so I don't feel too bad about it:

Need to clean it up, lower it, and tint the windows now. Those are 315/35R17 Nitto DRs in the back, BTW.

I voted for ProStars for the look, but more realistically the ZR1's would be a better choice incase you have to do some evasive lane changes and such during the drive to work and stuff.
