Default Need Tire Help

I need new tires for the Z. I just moved and my drive is about 30 miles of interstate travel with some backroads to the house. Looking for a good wet/dry traction tire that wont wear out in 10K miles. BFG's, Falken, Dunlop???

Tires are stock on the chrome 5-stars....245/50/16.

How much wider of a tire could I go on the 16x8 rims?

Thanks! Mike

I have heard they are hard to find and are very pricy. They sound nice but I am on a budget. Thanks for that info.

i dont' think they are too pricey...but hard to find yes!...umm i guess you might want to try some ecsta 712's if you are on a budget...they should be under 100$ a piece...they aren't bad for the money...but don't expect no drag radial...or even close

You could probably get away with 255s if you absolutely had to have wider.

I found some articles about the 712's and since I drive on the interstate with the car (until I start the restoration), those are definetly in the ballpark for me. If I want to hit the strip, I will just throw on the slicks.

Think I will just stick with the 245's then.

Thanks!

Got to love the Kumho Ecsta MX's. Hook close to a Nitto and last twice as long. And good in all weather. Well maybe not snow/ice/or flood you know what I mean.
